Mining Projects

With years of legal experience backed-up by deep technical expertise, the Weber Law Firm has the skills necessary to advise on traditional as well as new state-of-the-art mining operations. The core of our mining practice is supporting the successful progression from an early exploration property through commercial-scale mining operations to ultimate closure. Each stage of a mining project is both complex and unique, and our attorneys are skilled at negotiating and drafting the agreements needed, and providing the regulatory support required, to meet the challenges and needs of each stage.

We prepare and/or evaluate mineral leases, surface leases, and drilling contracts, especially for gold, uranium, and molybdenum deposits.

Project Development & Construction:

We have specific experience in feasibility study, construction, and contract operator bid packages and contracts and have supported major mine and mill expansion projects from both the project owner and contractor perspectives throughout the western hemisphere.

Ongoing Operations:

Commercially operating precious metal mines we have supported include Round Mountain and McCoy Cove in Nevada, Lupin in Nunavut, and the Kettle River Complex in Washington. Our support has covered a wide array of ongoing core business needs for operating mines including joint venture ownership issues.

We bring understanding and experience in new technology applications and state-of-the-art mining operations such as freeze wall technology.
